When to call straight away

  • Severe or throbbing pain that wakes you at night.
  • Swelling of the gum or face.
  • A lost filling or crown, or a broken tooth.
  • Pain around a wisdom tooth or difficulty opening your mouth.
  • An injury to a tooth.

What to do until you get here

  • Take an ordinary painkiller as directed on the leaflet.
  • Apply a cold compress to your cheek — never heat.
  • Don't put aspirin or alcohol on the gum; they burn the tissue.
  • If a tooth has been knocked out, hold it by the crown, keep it in milk and come as soon as possible.

Outside opening hours

If you can't reach us, contact the dental emergency service (zubná pohotovosť, LSPP) — the Bratislava Self-Governing Region publishes the rota. For rapidly growing swelling, fever, or difficulty swallowing or breathing, call 155.

Questions

Frequent questions

Will you see me if I'm not your patient?

Call us even if you haven't been to us before — we'll arrange the nearest free appointment.

How much does urgent treatment cost?

It depends on what needs doing. You'll find the indicative price below and in the price list, and we'll tell you the exact amount before we start.

My tooth hurts — what should I do?

Take a painkiller as directed, apply a cold compress to your cheek and call us. Don't put off pain that keeps coming back or wakes you at night — an inflamed nerve or an abscess won't go away on its own.

Can I come without an appointment?

Please call first. We fit urgent patients in between booked appointments and will tell you on the phone when to come.

What if my wisdom tooth hurts?

Pain and swelling around a wisdom tooth are usually gum inflammation around an erupting tooth. After an examination and X-ray we decide whether to calm the inflammation first or to remove the tooth.
